Our very first farm note
Hello from Tomorro Farm,
A big moment — lucky for you, and lucky for us. You’ve officially received our very first Farm Note.
We’re building momentum for our little farm as our first year of production comes into view. Our cover crop is growing, our site plan is brewing, and I’m realizing I have so much to say. Hence, the Farm Note.
This is our way of creating a steady rhythm — keeping friends and followers in the loop through a short, sweet weekly diary from the farm. Some weeks it might be a new idea, a small success, or a silly mistake. You can expect honesty, curiosity, and a little window into life on the farm.
As the farm grows, these Farm Notes will grow too. Over time, they’ll include what crops are available and where to find them, seasonal recipes, and any upcoming farm events.
I fell in love with farming largely because of the way it connects you to the seasons and their constant change. My hope is that this writing helps connect you to our farm — and to the cycles that bring abundance and nourishment, again and again.
a long awaited fog
The last week brought highs in the 80s. Early December felt more like July, and our “winter” rye got a little confused — some of it is already starting to go to seed, something we were hoping for in March or April. The fog is back now, and our cover crops are grateful for the return of moisture.
We’d love to hear from you. What would you like to read about in these weekly Farm Notes?
Thanks for following along,
Jake and Jesse :)
